The Executive Assistant to the President of the Acute Care and Monitoring business, serves as a strategic partner and trusted extension of the executive office, operating with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, judgment, and organizational influence. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, and the capacity to navigate complex business priorities in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, highly organized, and capable of balancing executive support responsibilities with leadership across broader administrative and operational initiatives. This individual will serve as a key member of the Leadership Team support structure and play an important role in driving coordination, communication, and operational effectiveness across the enterprise.

This role requires resilience, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism while managing rapidly shifting priorities and high expectations in a dynamic executive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Partnership & Leadership Support

  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the President, anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and ensuring seamless day-to-day executive operations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the broader enterprise, including executive leadership, cross-functional teams, administrative staff, external partners, and customers

  • Represent the executive office with professionalism, sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion

  • Support and actively engage with the Leadership Team, fostering strong collaboration and alignment across the organization

  • Lead and influence administrative coordination efforts across the enterprise through partnership, collaboration, and relationship-building

  • Drive effective communication flow between the executive office, leadership teams, and key stakeholders

  • Exercise independent judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters

  • Navigate evolving priorities, urgent business needs, and changing direction with flexibility, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, confidence, and executive maturity when managing sensitive situations and competing stakeholder needs

  • Maintain a calm, adaptable, and highly responsive approach in a fast-paced and demanding environment

Communication & Coordination

  • Draft, edit, and manage high-level communications, presentations, and meeting materials on behalf of the President

  • Coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, town halls, and strategic events with a high level of detail and professionalism

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and follow-up on key action items and deliverables

  • Establish strong working relationships with global administrative teams to ensure alignment and consistency

Executive Operations

  • Manage complex and dynamic executive calendaring across multiple time zones, priorities, and stakeholders

  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including detailed itineraries, logistics, contingency planning, and executive-level support

  • Prepare and reconcile expense reports accurately and in a timely manner

  • Prioritize and manage shifting business demands with flexibility, urgency, and composure

  • Support additional operational and administrative initiatives as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced corporate environment

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively without direct authority

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools

  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed, resourceful, and effective under pressure

  • Strong emotional intelligence and professional resilience

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex interpersonal dynamics with professionalism and discretion

  • Must possess exceptional judgment, confidence, diplomacy, and the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and challenging situations

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and professionalism

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$72,400.00 - $108,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
