A Day in the Life
As the Senior Director, Service and Repair Delivery – APAC, you will lead the strategic direction and operational execution of Medtronic’s Service & Repair organization across a diverse and complex region. You will partner closely with global S&R leadership, regional commercial leaders, and Operating Units to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable service that supports customer needs and advances Medtronic’s mission.
In this role, you will oversee a geographically distributed service organization that includes Field Service Engineers and Service Center repair operations primarily organized at the country or subregional level, as well as an APAC regional Contact Center supporting service coordination across markets. You will provide regional leadership, governance, and strategic direction while enabling strong local execution and responsiveness to market and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of service delivery in APAC by driving operational excellence, delivering best-in-industry service levels, create P&L leverage, advancing service commercialization initiatives while improving margins, and ensuring consistent deployment of global standards, systems, and processes. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership, the ability to influence within a complex global matrix environment, and a focus on developing high-performing teams that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You will also partner with global and regional stakeholders to identify opportunities to strengthen service capabilities, improve operational performance, and expand service revenue across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the APAC Service & Repair delivery strategy aligned with customer, global, and regional business needs and priorities.
- Lead regional service delivery performance, ensuring strong results across safety, quality, service levels, costs and margin optimizations, revenue contribution, and organizational health.
- Strengthen the regional service operating model through clear governance, standardized processes, and consistent performance management.
- Advance service commercialization across APAC in partnership with Operating Units and commercial teams to expand service adoption and profitability.
- Contribute regional insights to global S&R strategy and support implementation of global tools, systems, and standards across APAC.
- Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service capability, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a diverse regional leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development across the APAC service organization.
- Build effective partnerships with internal stakeholders and represent the S&R organization with customers and external partners when needed.
- Travel approximately 20-30%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be considered, these minimum requirements must be evident on your resume:
- Baccalaureate degree
- Minimum of15 years of relevant experience, including 10+ years of managerial experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior relevant experience including 10+ years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to lead cross-functional organization in a multi-cultural matrix environment with teams located in multiple sub regions.
- Ability to build strong partnerships across the organization and influence strategy and decision making.
- Ability to build strong partnerships and represent S&R function with customers and external stakeholders (industry partners, regulators, other)
- Strategic thinking to develop and execute S&R strategies
