A Day in the Life

Help keep life-saving surgical technology moving. In this role, you’ll support the service and readiness of surgical navigation systems used in operating rooms worldwide.

You’ll join a collaborative service center team responsible for building essential service kits, assessing returned components, and ensuring equipment is ready to get back into the field quickly and safely.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Mix of bench work (standing) and computer work (seated)

  • Light lifting (typically under 10–12 lbs; occasional lifting up to ~25 lbs)

  • Standard weekday schedule (~7:30/8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM)

  • Onsite role in a technical service lab with some warehouse activity

  • This role is onsite in Louisville, CO

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on, production and service support role with a mix of assembly, basic analysis, and light logistics work:

  • Document findings and maintain accurate records in internal systems (e.g., Salesforce)

  • Work at electronic and computer-based test benches to evaluate and process returned equipment

  • Support inventory, packing, shipping, and general warehouse activities as part of daily operations

  • Collaborate with operations, technical services, and quality/complaint handling teams

  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts, including supporting test equipment or process enhancements

  • Follow Medtronic quality systems, product standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and compliance

  • Learn from and work closely with senior technicians, progressing toward independent work as skills develop

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies

  • Take initiative and demonstrate willingness to assume increasing responsibility over time

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required (less than 25%)

Must-Have (Minimum Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, service, or similar)

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Exposure to electronics, component handling, or basic technical inspection

  • Experience in medical device, service/repair, or other regulated environments

  • Background in assembly, kitting, shipping/receiving, or inventory support

  • Basic computer skills and comfort entering data

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow process instructions

  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently after training

  • Hands-on and detail-oriented

  • Curious and eager to learn new skills

  • Coachable, with the ability to apply feedback

  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills

  • Quality-focused, with an appreciation for patient safety

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$51,200.00 - $76,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others)
