A Day in the Life
As a Principal Advanced Analytics Analyst, you will be joining the Global DAIME group dedicated to driving Medtronic marketing excellence through brand reputation, superior experiences, demand generation and measurable ROI. We are looking for a candidate that is intellectually curious and passionate about making a difference in the world.The Principal Advanced Analytics Analyst, acts as a strategic advisor on our communication and marketing campaigns. You will partner with performance marketing, activation, digital teams, business units, and external partners to define measurement strategies, track results, and report outcomes across PESO channels. You will create reports and visualizations that explain what is working, what is not, and why.
In addition, the role requires a strong understanding of ROI measurement methods such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and test-and-control analysis to accurately assess the true impact of campaigns. You will collaborate with vendors to guide the development, validation, and business interpretation of advanced statistical models, including marketing mix modeling (MMM), test-and-control methodologies and forecasting.
Responsibilities may include:
Analyze digital and media performance across channels (search, display, social, email, video, and website) and provide actionable insights to improve ROI.
Own measurement frameworks, KPIs, and tagging to ensure accurate reporting.
Partner with marketing and activation teams to support media planning, targeting, and optimization.
Build and maintain dashboards using SFMCI and Excel.
Deliver clear, concise performance reports to both senior marketing and commercial leaders.
Conduct A/B and guide agencies on their analytical approach to optimize campaign performance and creative effectiveness.
Perform ad-hoc analysis on campaign performance, audience behavior, and website engagement.
Partner with vendors to design, build, and validate multivariate models, and deliver clear business interpretation through concise, well-framed presentations.
Own the MMM roadmap, vendors, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.
Required knowledge and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
5 years of experience in marketing analytics (healthcare or agency experience is a plus)
Strong understanding of advanced analytics methods (MMM, Sales Lift, Forecasting) and enterprise analytics and visualization platforms (Adobe Analytics, SFMCI)
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling (SAS, Python, R, or SQL) is a plus
Working knowledge of paid media platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, LinkedIn, CTV)
Familiarity with brand, reputation, and digital performance metrics.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data and its implications in a clear, concise manner
Proactive, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude who challenges assumptions with data while balancing rigor and speed
