A Day in the Life
At Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions (IHS), we partner with healthcare providers and payers to transform care delivery, improve operational performance, and enhance patient outcomes. Our team combines healthcare expertise, data-driven analysis, and change management capabilities to support hospitals in addressing their most pressing challenges.
As an Intern within the Consulting Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team at Medtronic Iberia, you will support consulting projects and strategic initiatives across Iberia, working alongside experienced consultants and healthcare professionals. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare consulting, hospital operations, process improvement, and project management within a leading healthcare technology company.
Internship details:
- Start date: September 2026
- Location: Madrid, Spain
- Duration: 12 months (extendable + 6 months)
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
- Work model: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
- Internship agreement
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Support healthcare data analysis and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Assist in preparing client presentations, reports and project documentation.
- Support project management activities, including meeting coordination and action tracking.
- Help develop consulting methodologies, benchmarking analyses and best-practice repositories.
- Support workshops, stakeholder meetings and healthcare transformation initiatives.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Recently graduated or in the final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Health Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Healthcare Management or a related field.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum C1 level).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Would be a plus:
- Exposure to healthcare environments, healthcare consulting, or hospital management projects.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Understanding of healthcare information systems and digital health solutions
