You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.For our Distribution Centre in Heerlen 3 (HRL3), we are looking for a Dangerous Goods Specialist Administrator who will play a key role in ensuring compliant and efficient transportation of dangerous goods across our logistics network.
In this position, you will support daily warehouse and transportation operations by providing expertise on Dangerous Goods regulations, maintaining documentation, coordinating shipments, and working closely with internal departments and external carriers. You will also drive process improvements and support operational teams in resolving compliance-related issues while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
You will report directly to the Logistics Manager and collaborate with Supervisors and cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance. You are expected to work onsite 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations (ADR, IATA, IMDG and applicable local regulations).
- Review, prepare, and validate Dangerous Goods documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Support warehouse and transportation teams with Dangerous Goods-related operational questions and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, Customer Care, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Maintain and update Dangerous Goods records, procedures, work instructions, and compliance documentation.
- Perform shipment audits and identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for transportation and compliance issues.
- Participate in new product introductions by assessing Dangerous Goods requirements and transportation readiness.
- Deliver guidance and promote awareness of Dangerous Goods procedures throughout the operational teams.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused working environment.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or Dangerous Goods administration.
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations (ADR, IATA and/or IMDG); certification is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Dutch is considered an advantage.
