Position Description:
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Operations Manager, Training Center
Durham’s DS4 Operations Training Center Manager will be responsible for leading and executing Operations training plans in order to support production. This position will also be responsible for the continued development and implementation of all training related procedures, job aids, and learning documents associated with the Training Center.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Partnering with the Operations management team to create and execute learning strategies that support design, development, delivery and evaluation of training and learning development programs.
Authoring and reviewing all Training Center related learning documents and SOPs.
Ensuring visibility and accuracy of the production schedule and update dashboards accordingly to highlight the status of critical training related milestones.
As required, developing team members through talent management, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
Ability to effectively coach new trainees to build their skills so that they may become effective operations technicians and SMEs.
Analyzing and implementing initiatives, training programs, and systems that will help to increase overall success within the department.
Overseeing and facilitating training programs that emphasize active learning, customer needs, department integration, and appropriate organization.
Effectively using metrics and measurement to ensure that training programs result in needed behaviors on-the-job.
Participating in training for new hire training programs.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
High School Diploma AND at least Six (6) years in a manufacturing, technical, support, or Military role. OR
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field AND at least Four (4) years in a manufacturing, technical, support, or Military role.
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in a direct GMP, biotechnology, manufacturing setting.
Required Experience and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead a team (i.e. experience leading directly as a supervisor/coach or indirectly as part of a project or through routine process execution).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate people/resources to support Operational training related needs
Strategic and effective interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience leading instructor-led or hands-on training
Experience with shop-floor cGMP manufacturing and familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
Experience with facility, equipment and/or process start up activities in a sterile cGMP environment
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
