Job Description
The Senior Specialist, Learning & Development Consultant for Integrated Account Management (IAM), serves as a strategic learning partner supporting capability development across the IAM organization within the company portfolio. This role partners closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps, assess business needs, and design product, disease, and above-brand learning solutions that enhance skills and drive organizational effectiveness.
This individual will serve as a consultant, facilitator, project manager, and trusted advisor supporting a broad customer-facing organization that includes Payer Account Executives, IDN Executives, PBM Customer Managers, National Account Directors, and other field-based and headquarters-based roles.
The Senior Specialist, Learning & Development Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering strategic learning solutions that build capabilities and drive performance across the IAM organization. This role partners closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to assess learning needs, identify performance gaps, and create innovative development experiences that support both individual growth and organizational priorities.
The role offers the opportunity to build impactful learning experiences by partnering with IAM leadership, marketing teams, payer marketing, learning creation teams, and cross-functional partners including compliance and review teams. Responsibilities include identifying performance needs and gaps, collaborating with subject matter experts, and creating learning solutions aligned with business priorities and desired outcomes.
The individual in this role will lead in designing learning journeys and execute learning strategies aligned with IAM business objectives, ensuring field teams have the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to effectively engage customers and succeed in an evolving healthcare environment. Responsibilities include managing multiple complex learning projects, overseeing curriculum development, and implementing blended learning approaches including instructor-led training, e-learning, virtual learning, workshops, and performance support tools.
The Senior Specialist will serve as a key learning partner supporting the advancement and adoption of the Organized Customer Engagement Process (OCEP). The candidate will develop a strong understanding of OCEP principles and serve as an ambassador for the account management framework across IAM, partnering closely with the IAM Strategic Insights team to help reinforce and sustain customer engagement capabilities. Responsibilities include supporting the development, implementation, and sustainment of OCEP-related learning resources and experiences for Account Executives (AEs), including self-paced learning assets, application workshops, reinforcement strategies, and both short- and long-term capability-building initiatives designed to strengthen field execution and performance.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, relationship management skills, project leadership, proactive communication, and the ability to apply adult learning principles to support evolving IAM priorities, product launches, and capability-building initiatives. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities and deliver practical, real-world learning experiences that support Account Executive success and business impact.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Learning Consultation
Partner with senior leadership, marketers, payer marketers, and key business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, capability needs, and organizational objectives.
Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships across IAM and cross-functional business partners.
Serve as a trusted learning consultant by providing recommendations and guidance that align learning strategies with business goals.
Translate business priorities into practical learning solutions and capability-building initiatives.
Learning Design, Facilitation & Capability Development
Lead the design, development, and execution of learning experiences that support upskilling and capability enhancement across the IAM organization.
Facilitate engaging instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning experiences.
Incorporate subject matter experts and business partners to create high-impact learning experiences that add value to learners.
Develop and maintain learning journeys that support both onboarding and role-transition experiences.
Ensure learning content reflects practical application and supports real-world / market access customer engagement scenarios relevant to Account Executive roles.
Onboarding & Learner Development
Support onboarding initiatives for employees new to our company and individuals transitioning into new IAM roles.
Create structured learning paths that accelerate role readiness and confidence.
Identify opportunities to improve the learner experience and strengthen capability development programs.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Lead multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while managing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
Partner across Legal, Compliance, Learning Creation, Partnerships, and external vendor organizations to ensure successful execution of learning initiatives.
Demonstrate strong project management skills and attention to detail throughout all phases of project execution.
Provide clear and proactive communication to stakeholders and leadership teams regarding project status and deliverables.
Meeting & Event Support
Partner and Support planning, coordination, and execution of annual and biannual meetings, training events, and strategic capability initiatives.
Contribute to meeting content development, learning strategy integration, and overall participant experience.
Education:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience in Human Resources, or related discipline.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of sales, account management, or related sales/account management training experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

Preferred Experience:
IAM / Account Executive Experience preferred
Experience within Learning & Development, capability building, sales training, or commercial learning environments, Promomats, Axonify and other LMS platforms
Experience supporting customer-facing field organizations
Pharmaceutical, healthcare, managed markets, payer, or account management experience preferred
Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and external partners
Experience facilitating onboarding programs and learning journeys
Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives

The salary range for this role is
$129,000.00 - $203,100.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
