THE ROLE

Using discretion and judgment, provides technical expertise and back-up to each team member. Understands department systems and procedures of a complex nature. Represents the Performance and Attribution team on various projects sometimes of a complex nature.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist the Performance and Attribution Manager in interpreting methodology and performing calculations, assisting with ad-hoc requests and participating in regulatory deliverables.
  • Review daily and monthly performance/attribution reports for breaks; follow up on any issues with the appropriate departments and/or individuals to resolve data and technical issues.
  • Maintain production environments; document and review controls and procedures; analyze and propose enhancements and test enhancements provided by vendor and/or internal technical staff.
  • Work with and support other Operations departments in their responsibilities of reviewing materials generated by internal clients based upon the output of our performance/attribution and performance/attribution systems to ensure quality, accuracy and the adherence to internal and regulatory guidelines.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree preferably with a concentration in accounting, finance or other related financial discipline or equivalent experience in the mutual fund or securities industry.
  • Related experience in a performance measurement, performance evaluation and/or performance attribution role.
  • Familiarity with the technical characteristics, methodologies and operational requirements of performance and attribution systems.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytic skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • CFA/CIPM or progress toward the Charter a plus.
  • Microsoft Office
  • SQL
  • Experience working in a diverse environment where production, controls, and daily deadlines are required.
  • Experience with performance calculation.
