THE ROLE
The Senior Regional Consultant will sell MFS Investment products and services through financial intermediaries in the Broker-Dealer, Regional, Independent and Bank channels to achieve sales goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Conducts sales meetings with financial intermediaries to promote MFS sales and services to maximize territorial and divisional sales. Develops and implements sales strategies and ensure these align with MFS company goals, our purpose, and priorities. Demonstrates expertise in sales. Works in partnership with Sales, Client Service, Product, Compliance, and Marketing.
- Serve as single point of contact and subject matter expert to MFS clients. Responsible for managing and responding to their needs in a timely manner. Develops and implements relationship strategies with clients.
- Works with all areas of the MFS Sales team including Sales Desk, Client Service, Product, and Marketing in developing, delivering, and monitoring the wholesaler business plan to achieve divisional and company goals.
- Provides top quality service to accounts to ensure growth and retention of assets and clients.
- Builds sales by identifying and prospecting new producers. Identifies and develops new relationships with territorial dealers. Engages with regional top tier firms and looks to identify opportunities within the region following strategy developed by Sales leadership team.
- Works within MFS/MIL (MFS International Limited) sales and marketing teams to develop full understanding of link between regional based institutions and their global networks outside of their home market.
- Manages sales efforts with home office sales representatives to execute territorial business plans with MFS field partners.
- Ensures all data on clients in the region/territory are recorded and correct; maintains and updates appropriate CRM systems and stores documentation in C360 so it is accessible to all. Adheres to timely submission of expense reports.
- Represents MFS at appropriate forums, e.g., in meetings with clients, shareholders and the general investment public. Attends conferences or regulatory events as needed and communicates information to wholesalers and home office personnel. Build strong sales skills and keeps abreast of industry trends through interaction with corporate team, training, continuing education requirements, and sales meetings.
- Continually keep up to date on local regulatory framework and changes as well as country specific items that impact the territory/region. Ensures compliance with all internal MFS regulations and external regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, including distribution of approved literature to financial intermediaries.
- Assumes additional duties as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- 8-12+ years of related experience required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, selling, and presentation skills.
- In depth product and industry knowledge.
- Ability to meet extensive travel requirements.
- Ability to balance personal territory production with management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in local language preferred.
- Position requires FINRA licensing in accordance with MFS’s policy: SIE, Series 63 and Series 7.

Base Salary: $95,000.00

This position is eligible for competitive commission pay.

This range reflects our good-faith expectation for what we’ll pay depending on the candidate’s experience, training and education.
