The Office Artificial Inteliigence (AI) team in the E+D Office Product Group is looking for a Senior Business Manager.
Office AI Team is accountable for building, shipping and maintaining shared foundations, capabilities and experiences in support of M365 Copilot and M365. Our goal is to have an outsized positive impact on the lived experience of our customers. This critical role reports to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) and works closely with the Leadership Team (LT) to drive rhythm of business (ROB), business accountability, resource management, communications and organizational health. This candidate should have a broad range of experience, making them able to navigate a high-visibility generalist role to act as a trusted partner and advisor, balancing leadership and influence to help their leader deliver on the business objectives. This role is also part of the Office Product Group (OPG) Business Management community which works together to drive efficiency and leverage the work of the group and has a dotted line relationship to the OPG Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities
Leadership Effectiveness, Business Operations & Communication
The Business Manager leverages knowledge of the leader's goals and business approach to ensure business activities are aligned with the leader's objectives. They synthesize information into insights that inform business decisions, leveraging expertise to influence the leader and leadership team.
Stay up to speed on pending launches and develop a firm grasp of the product strategy to help the LT ensure readiness.
Own internal communications to effectively drive clarity on the organization’s priorities & decisions.
Participate in the most relevant meetings and stay connected with the LT.
Maximize the effectiveness of the CVP by partnering with their Executive Assistant (EA) to prioritize their time.
Work with the CVP to drive prep for executive reviews, internal and external engagements.
Own cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage complex business needs.
Act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.
Business Management & Operations
In partnership with Finance, OPG’s Director of Business Management, the Business Manager:
Drive the business cadence by managing objective and key results (OKRs), Weekly Investment Area Reviews, and quarterly / monthly planning to ensure operational excellence and alignment in Office AI and partner teams.
Leverages knowledge of organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets.
Collaborates with the LT regarding resource allocation planning, and ensures that the leaders are aligned on the headcount strategy and the fiscal year workforce plan.
Partners with the staffing team to meet hiring requirements and elevate staffing conversations with the LT.
Works as part of the OPG Business Management community to improve processes, procedures, and initiatives to run the business efficiently as the organization scales.
Partner with the CVP’s EA to drive execution on budget and headcount tracking.
Culture, Org Health and Talent Mgmt
Partner with HR and LT members to drive a high-performing, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture. Monitor organizational health signals and lead initiatives to improve engagement and effectiveness. Support hiring, onboarding, and development efforts. Reinforce a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles.
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of product/program/operational management or similar tech industry experience.
- Previous experience in Chief of Staff office or Senior Business Management role preferred.
- Experience with financial modeling, analysis, and insights development with a large business.
- Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Enjoys working in fast-paced; sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Judgment, executive presence, discretion, and resilience under pressure.
Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900.00 - $203,600.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400.00 - $222,600.00 per year.
