Microsoft’s European Government Affairs (EGA) team is seeking an Events and Operations intern to support the team’s daily operations and events. The position is based in Brussels. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and communications skills, a collaborative, creative and result-oriented mindset, and a passion for technology.

The purpose of the Microsoft European Government Affairs organization is to build relationships and strengthen our dialogue with European stakeholders, in support of Europe’s technology policy agenda and global competitiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Event management: coordinating all aspects of individual event organization, digital productions, and visits to our facility, requiring detailed handling of logistics and coordination with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • Tool ownership: using and maintaining systems (including the events CRM) in support of event organization and internal operational alignment.

  • Program management: supporting projects across the organization based on current needs and individual ambition, for example learning and development, culture and inclusion, or AI enablement.

  • Facility experience: contributing to the expansion and maintenance of the visitor experience and technology showcases at the Microsoft office, demonstrating for example AI, sustainability, or accessibility technologies.

  • Financial operations: support the operations team with day-to-day program budget management, procurement processes and compliance tasks related to events.



Qualifications
  • Having a robust interest in technology policy
  • Very strong English language skills (advanced or native proficiency) are a requirement. French language skills is a plus.
  • Previous experience with CRM tools or other hands-on tool & technology platform skills are a big asset. The position is open to political science, law, business studies, or other relevant degree holders.
  • Must be legally authorised to work in Belgium (Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit).
