Overview

Come build community, explore your passions and do your best work while shaping how the world’s leading organizations become Frontier Enterprises. The CBO Business Envisioning team partners with enterprise business leaders to define their future state—connecting business outcomes, human experience, and technology into compelling visions that drive real transformation.

This is not a traditional experience design role. As an AI Experience Strategist/ Creative Director, you will operate at the frontier of experience design—where AI is transforming how ideas are imagined, created, and delivered. You will turn complex business challenges into powerful, consumer-grade storytelling that influences executive decision-making and accelerates strategic investment.

You will facilitate collaboratively with customer business stakeholders to define solutions and design experiences that make the abstract tangible—bringing future concepts to life through narrative, storyboards, and AI-generated visual and video assets. Working in an AI-first creative workflow, you will co-create with generative systems to rapidly explore ideas, prototype experiences, and produce high-fidelity storytelling outputs at a speed and scale not previously possible. Modern design is shifting toward AI as a co-creator, requiring designers to curate and direct outputs rather than build everything manually.

This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your career by developing deep expertise in experience strategy, visual storytelling, and AI-powered creative production. You will work directly with executive stakeholders across industries, driving clarity and alignment through narrative. This role is remote and offers flexibility in how you work.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Join us and help shape the future of the world.

Responsibilities
  • Translate business outcomes and workshop insights into compelling storytelling narratives through briefs, storyboards, and video-based deliverables.

  • Operate in AI-first creative workflows, using generative systems (text-to-image, text-to-video, multimodal AI) to rapidly explore, iterate, and produce experience concepts.

  • Direct AI as a creative partner—guiding systems to generate, refine, and scale visual storytelling outputs that align to customer brand and narrative.

  • Design end-to-end experience frameworks including user journeys, personas, and future-state scenarios that connect business value to technology.

  • Create consumer-grade visual assets (presentations, videos, prototypes) that reflect product marketing quality tailored to each customer’s context.

  • Visualize early-stage ideas before they are built—enabling customers to align on future investments through tangible, narrative-driven experiences.

  • Build reusable storytelling systems and assets that scale across engagements, incorporating AI-enabled iteration and personalization.

  • Partner across multidisciplinary teams (business, product, design, and technical stakeholders) to deliver cohesive narratives that influence executive decision-making

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Marketing, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in experience design, creative strategy, or digital storytelling \| OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience translating business or product concepts into visual narratives, storyboards, or digital experiences.

  • Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Mural to create user journeys, personas, and experience frameworks.

  • Experience developing visual storytelling assets including presentations, videos, or digital media for executive-level audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master Facilitation – from abstract scenarios to end user user experience and everything in between, demonstrated creation of clarity and consensus by working with business executives and stakeholders at enterprise customer organizations and Microsoft account teams.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., generative image, video, or design systems) to enhance creative workflows and outputs.

  • Experience operating in AI-native design workflows where rapid iteration, prompt-based generation, and co-creation are core to the design process.

  • Background in agency, product marketing, or creative consulting environments delivering high-quality, client-facing work.

  • Experience creating video-based storytelling or motion-driven narratives using modern creative tooling.

  • Ability to connect design work to quantifiable business outcomes and strategic objectives.

What Sets This Role Apart

We are looking for designers who don’t just use AI—but who are obsessed with redefining how design itself is created.

You will:

  • Work at the intersection of business strategy, experience design, and AI innovation

  • Use AI to move from idea → concept → narrative → visual → video in hours, not weeks

  • Act as a creative director of intelligent systems, not just an individual contributor

  • Help define how storytelling evolves in an AI-first world

Generative AI is transforming storytelling across the entire creative process—from script to storyboard to final production—unlocking new speed and scale for creators. This role sits directly at that intersection
