As a CO+I Critical Environment Program Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
Increasing regulatory and customer requirements mean that the data centre operations meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental performance.
The E&E CEPM will
Manage local energy and environmental projects for the datacenter campus and at leased sites, where applicable
Support with implementation of and maintenance of certified Environmental Management System (EMS) and/or Energy Management System (EnMS) at Microsoft data centres in the country. This will include, but not limited to, the following:
Represent the site at Regional Energy and Environment meetings.
Support site-level data collection and key performance indicators monitoring
Lead site-level management review process
Identify on-site risks and non-conformity for ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001
Identify and deliver energy and environmental improvement projects
Be point of contact and support internal audits and external audits
Manage local documentation control for EMS/EnMS
Work with Regional and local teams to develop and implement site-level communication plan (e.g. energy and environment awareness training, EMS/EnMS training)
Collaborate with on-site Operations team and Regional Compliance team on development of environmental compliance procedures and/or completion of energy and environmental compliance tasks
Support Regional Operations team with energy and environmental programmes at site level (Zero Waste, EU Code of Conduct etc)

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Professional Experience
Proven experience managing building operations, energy, environmental, or sustainability programs in mission‑critical, industrial, or large infrastructure environments.
Experience maintaining ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001 at the site level, including management reviews, non‑conformity management, and corrective actions.
Technical Management System Competence
Strong understanding of:
Data Center Operational controls
Energy Management Systems (ISO 50001)
Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)
Project and Program Delivery
Demonstrated capability to identify, scope, and deliver energy performance improvement projects at operating sites
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Experience delivering management system communications and coordinating management review inputs
Ability to present to and influence site-level Leadership Team
Documentation and Data Management
Ability to manage program documentation, maintain records, track non-conformities, and support document control procedures
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Datacenter Industry Experience
Experience working in hyperscale datacenter environments
Tools and Systems
Proficiency with M365 tool suite, documentation structures, PowerBI or equivalent dashboards, and KPI monitoring tools
Program and Change Management
Demonstrated ability to support site-level adoption of new management system processes and continuous improvement plans
Data Center Operations Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Sweden is kr 570,000.00 - kr 930,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
