Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Technical program manager for its market intelligence practice in the Cloud Infrastructure Acquisition organization (CIA). CO+I is responsible for planning, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure datacenters across the globe. The organizational scope includes demand and supply planning, business operations and strategic acquisition and prepositioning across land, power, and networking. As part of this global organization, you will be part of a rapidly growing business, enabling global impact, and driving strategic execution on our key initiatives. Responsibilities
As a Program Manager for Market Intelligence within CIA, you will focus on quantifying the market and competitive landscape with a focus on market entry, market capture, available solution, targeted workloads, infrastructure and datacenters. Success in the role will be in understanding the growth and potential of the datacenter market. We are interested in where the market is going, not where it has been. The successful candidate will be able to discern reality vs. hype and will ideally have a background in market intelligence methods, data collection, data modeling as well as experience building executive ready PPT decks.
This role will work across internal stakeholders, external market analysts and develop a repeatable method for measuring Microsoft market advantage. The successful candidate must be collaborative, outcome oriented, and be able to apply solution-based thinking to critical problems.

- Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in computer science, statistics &/or analytics, data analysis OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years experience in technology market intelligence, cloud computing, AI infrastructure, infrastructure engineering, datacenter construction, research & analytics.
- 1+ years experience in quantitative skills for data analysis including statistical analysis software such as R, python, SAS, etc and excel
- 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- Quantitative skills for data analysis including statistical analysis software such as R, python, SAS, etc and excel.
- Understanding of business, technology-related strategy and ability to develop executive slides for leaders.
- Ability to build market models from disparate data sources and manage relationships with third-party research providers.
- Understanding of cloud, AI adoption and/or datacenters is across geographies is a plus.
Technical Program Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,400 - $168,100 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,100 - $183,700 per year.
