Overview

Senior Account Technology Strategist and trusted technical advisor for a portfolio of Mexico Public Sector accounts, serving as a virtual CTO to drive digital transformation. Develops and executes technology strategies aligned with government priorities, translating business objectives into actionable roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes for citizens. Orchestrates cross-functional teams across sales, engineering, partners, and specialists to deliver a unified technical vision, while bridging executive customer leadership with Microsoft's solutions. Drives opportunity creation, demand generation, and strategic account planning through industry expertise, thought leadership, and deep knowledge of customer needs. Passionate about using technology to create meaningful impact for public-sector organizations and the communities they serve.



Responsibilities
  • Build and sustain trust-based relationships with C-level and executive decision-makers across government institutions.
  • Understand the customer's environment, mandate, and ideology deeply enough to shape how Microsoft engages, positions, and sells into the Mexican government.
  • Develop and own the account technical strategy, aligning the full Microsoft portfolio to each customer's transformation goals.
  • Reach and maintain fluency across the entire Microsoft portfolio within onboarding time, and continually deepen it as the portfolio evolves.
  • Orchestrate the extended and virtual team — engineers, specialists, partners, etc — driving alignment, accountability, and a unified customer experience.
  • Lead and guide public-sector bidding, tender and different ways of selling to gov processes, ensuring technically sound, compliant, and competitive proposals.
  • Adapt selling approaches to the situation — direct, partner-led, consultative, or bid-based — reading each opportunity and choosing the right motion.
  • Act as a role model for teamwork, honesty, and transparency, setting the tone for how the account team operates.
  • Inspire, mentor, and elevate the team, sharing the mission and energizing colleagues around the impact of their work for our country.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field AND 6+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven public sector experience, including direct experience selling to and working with government customers.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating public-sector procurement, bidding, and tender processes (licitaciones).
  • Deep understanding of the Mexican public sector, including government structure, procurement models, decision-making processes, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong C-level and executive relationship management skills, with demonstrated success building and maintaining executive-level customer relationships.
  • Broad technical aptitude with the ability to quickly develop foundational knowledge across Microsoft technologies and similar enterprise cloud platforms, and effectively position integrated solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience orchestrating cross-functional teams, building relationships, and coordinating extended and virtual teams to achieve shared business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and customer impact.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in fast-changing environments, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to drive innovation and organizational change.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a reputation for integrity, transparency, and building trusted relationships across teams and customers.
  • Experience applying multiple sales and engagement motions (enterprise sales, partner-led, co-sell, and solution-based selling) based on customer needs and business objectives.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal).

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field AND 12+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in a relevant customer industry.
  • 6+ years of experience leading digital transformation initiatives or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
