The Azure Supercomputing and AI Infrastructure Products (ASAP) organization is responsible for delivering the infrastructure foundation powering the next generation of AI. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to drive end-to-end capacity delivery across Microsoft's rapidly growing AI infrastructure portfolio, including strategic NeoCloud partnerships and large-scale GPU deployments.
This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, engineering execution, product strategy, and operational excellence. You will own complex infrastructure programs from planning and contract commitments through customer-ready capacity delivery, collaborating across engineering, supply chain, datacenter operations, networking, finance, and strategic partners.
The Principal Product Manager combines deep technical curiosity with rigor. They thrive in ambiguity, challenge conventional thinking, identify opportunities for transformation, and drive measurable business impact through both operational excellence and product innovation.
In addition to delivering infrastructure at scale, this role will help shape the next generation of intelligent buildout systems by applying automation, AI, and agentic workflows to improve predictability, optimize human effort, and accelerate Dock-to-Live execution.

Responsibilities
- Partner with NeoCloud providers, engineering teams, networking organizations, and datacenter operations to ensure predictable delivery of strategic capacity commitments.
- Establish and maintain integrated execution plans, risk management mechanisms, milestone tracking, and operational review cadences.
Identify delivery bottlenecks, drive issue resolution, and accelerate execution across organizational boundaries. - Define and implement operating models that improve predictability, transparency, and execution quality across infrastructure delivery programs.
- Develop metrics, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms that provide leadership visibility into delivery health, risks, and outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts that reduce complexity, cycle time, and operational overhead.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and agentic workflows to infrastructure delivery processes.
- Partner with engineering teams to define and deliver intelligent systems that automate repetitive work, improve decision-making, and increase execution velocity.
- Challenge existing assumptions and workflows, using data and customer outcomes to redefine how work gets done.
- Drive alignment among leaders and partner organizations across Azure, Engineering, CO+I, Supply Chain, Networking, and external providers.
- Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities to deliver outcomes that support Microsoft’s long-term AI infrastructure strategy.
Communicate complex technical and business issues clearly to executive audiences. - Act as a force multiplier for the organization by identifying opportunities others miss and driving durable solutions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, infrastructure engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
- 1+ years experience building or managing large-scale cloud, HPC, GPU, AI, or datacenter infrastructure deployments.
- 1+ years experience designing or implementing automation, AI-powered systems, agentic workflows, or operational intelligence platforms.
- 1+ years experiene leading initiatives that significantly reduced operational toil, improved cycle time, or increased execution predictability.
- 1+ years experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs involving multiple organizations and executive stakeholders.
- 1+ years experience working with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, datacenter technologies, networking, AI infrastructure, or related technical domains.
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
