Overview

As a Financial Analysis Intern, you will support finance professionals across accounting, book close, direct and indirect tax compliance, governance, reporting, audit readiness and transformation initiatives. During this 12-month CA Industrial Training opportunity, you will gain hands-on experience with enterprise finance operations, internal systems and controls while contributing to analytical reviews, process documentation, stakeholder coordination, management reporting and AI-enabled solutions. You will work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to deliver strong execution, structured analysis and clear communication, with opportunities to present your work and recommendations to finance leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Supports indirect tax workstreams, including GST returns and reviews, IMS controls, monthly reconciliations, compliance tracking, data validation and coordination with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Coordinates GST refund activities, Invoice Management System interventions and data center input tax credit matters, working with relevant stakeholders to track requirements and support timely closure.
  • Contributes to finance governance and reporting through timely monitoring, well-maintained documentation and disciplined follow-through across workstreams.
  • Supports direct tax workstreams, including tax audit report coordination, income tax return and income computation support, data preparation, consultant liaison and maintenance of review-ready documentation.
  • Assists in analytical reviews of financial and operational data, including reconciliations, variance analysis, trend analysis, cash flow and working capital-related insights, and preparation of management reports or dashboards.
  • Supports audit readiness and assurance activities by preparing data, maintaining structured documentation, tracking information requests and helping strengthen process controls and review discipline.
  • Partners with internal teams, business stakeholders and external advisors to support process execution, resolve data requirements, communicate status updates and drive closure of action items.
  • Identifies opportunities to simplify, standardize and optimize finance and tax processes, including reducing manual effort, improving visibility and strengthening operational efficiency.
  • Builds and supports automation, analytics and AI-enabled solutions using tools such as Excel, SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Copilot and other modern productivity platforms.
  • Communicates recurring and ad-hoc results in a clear, structured and business-ready manner, including insights, risks, recommendations and project outcomes for stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy and eligible for 12 months of Industrial Training as per applicable ICAI requirements.
  • Basic understanding of finance, accounting, direct tax, indirect tax, audit, controls, compliance and business processes.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliations, reporting and use of formulas or structured data techniques.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Power BI, with ability to work with large datasets and convert data into insights.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Articleship experience or practical tax exposure, including direct or indirect tax compliance, tax audit reports, GST returns and reconciliations, GST refunds, IMS, compliance reviews or audit support.
  • Exposure to governance frameworks, process controls, finance operations, statutory audit, internal audit or consultant coordination.
  • Interest in AI-led process transformation, digital innovation and use of technology to simplify repetitive finance and tax processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, with curiosity to learn new business processes quickly.
