Are you passionate about defining how software will be built, deployed, governed, and operated in the age of AI and agents?
Microsoft 365 Core is building the next generation of platform experiences that enable thousands of engineers across Microsoft to move from intent to trusted production outcomes through agentic systems and agentic workflows. Our vision is a future where onboarding, development, validation, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement are orchestrated through persistent AI-powered crews that act on behalf of developers, service owners, and operators.
We are looking for a highly technical Principal Product Manager to define and drive this vision. You will operate at the intersection of product leadership, systems architecture, platform strategy, and organizational transformation. You will partner with engineering leaders, architects, and product leaders across Microsoft to define the platforms, operating models, and experiences that enable trusted agentic workflows at hyperscale.
In this role, you will own the strategy and product direction for the next generation of agentic platform experiences. You will shape how developers onboard services, how agents coordinate work, how trusted change is delivered, how operational knowledge compounds across teams, and how platform capabilities are exposed through a coherent agent-first experience. You will influence investments across multiple organizations to create a unified vision for the future of software development and operations.
This role requires deep technical credibility, strong product intuition, customer obsession, and the ability to align senior leaders across multiple organizations around a shared strategic and architectural vision.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
The work in this role is wide-ranging and will involve:
Defining and driving the long-term vision, strategy, roadmap, and platform investments that enable developers, service owners, and operators to work through intelligent agentic workflows.
Shaping Microsoft's agentic operating model by defining how persistent agents, federated skills, memory, governance, safety, identity, and execution systems work together to deliver trusted production outcomes at hyperscale.
Driving the strategy that compresses the path from intent to production by reducing onboarding friction, accelerating validation and experimentation, simplifying deployment, and enabling autonomous operational workflows.
Leading cross-company initiatives that establish common architectural patterns, governance models, contracts, and platform foundations for agentic systems.
Defining and evolving the end-to-end product experience for onboarding, validation, experimentation, deployment, operations, compliance, and continuous learning across Microsoft 365 services.
Establishing the architectural direction for agent execution environments, sandboxing, memory systems, service models, orchestration frameworks, and cross-service learning capabilities.
Driving the creation of platform capabilities that transform operational knowledge into reusable intelligence, enabling insights, patterns, and learnings from one service to improve every service running on the platform.
Partnering with engineering, research, security, compliance, and product leaders to ensure agentic platforms are safe, trustworthy, auditable, and capable of operating in Microsoft's most critical production environments.
Defining platform success metrics and influencing investment decisions, technical roadmaps, and organizational priorities to accelerate service delivery, improve reliability, and reduce operational toil.
Building deep partnerships with senior technical leaders and executives across Microsoft to align the company around a shared vision for the future of software development and operations in the AI era.
Mentoring product managers and technical leaders while helping establish product management, architectural, and operational best practices across the organization.
