As Business Manager for the SME&C ANZ Corporate team, you will serve as an orchestrator, transformational catalyst and trusted advisor to the Leadership Team. You will collaborate with the broader Small, Medium Enterprise & Channel (SME&C) and Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) organizations to drive transformation of the corporate customer segment across Australia and New Zealand. Your responsibilities will include leading short- and long-term business planning, optimizing operations and processes, and delivering actionable business insights. You will also play a key role in shaping and executing a unified customer-facing communication strategy, working closely with senior executives to ensure consistent and impactful engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic execution, planning & change management: Key contributor and influencer of the business strategy through account planning, regional reviews, monthly & quarterly executive reviews, and other initiatives. Ensure planning, landing and reviews of prioritized business commitments are accomplished.
  • Executive office management: Lead cross-functional and strategic projects to support the executive leader and drive measurable results that deliver business impact for the broad organization. Support strategic planning process, rhythm of business, coordinate executive partner meeting briefs, action items, and other executive office functions.
  • Business Operations Excellence: Trusted change advisor and a thought leader around topics such as compliance, readiness, training, organizational policy education, and operating with a high bar of quality around streamlined end to end processes.
  • Financial Management: Lead fiscal planning processes for revenue & OPEX, in partnership with finance and in alignment with SME&C guidance. Review business performance and support financial management of the team’s budgets. Ensure leader accountability for revenue and operational expenditure (OpEx) forecast accuracy.
  • People & Culture: Drive sustained, pervasive connections and conversations across the organization to improve the teams Thrive score deliver better employee experience and organizational performance.

AI Forward Culture & Embedded AI:

Steward an AI Forward culture across SME&C — set the tone that every role, process and deliverable is a candidate for AI augmentation, and make that expectation explicit in the operating rhythm.

  • Embed AI into everything we do: identify the manual work in the operating model and replace it with agents, Copilot workflows and automation; document and publish what works so it scales across the team.
  • Own internal AI adoption metrics for the organization itself — Copilot usage, agent deployment, skilling completion — and report them alongside business performance, not as a side activity.
  • Champion responsible AI practice: data handling, accuracy verification and clear human accountability for AI-assisted output.
  • Act as an internal reference customer — be able to show customers and partners how Microsoft ANZ runs its own business on AI.


Qualifications

Required (RQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g.Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles; OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles; OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g.Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles; OR equivalent experience.
