The Windows and Web Experiences Team (WWE) builds comprehensive and engaging content, services, and platforms for consumers to access the information they need anywhere on any device and for enterprises to enhance their employee and customer experiences. The engineers on our front-end team build the web applications that provide full self-service access for our customers to our e-commerce promotions platform. We are looking for a "Software Engineer - Frontend" with a demonstrated track record of innovative thinking, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
  • Work closely with the leadership and product owner to help address business needs while maintaining engineering standards and paying down technical debt
  • Experiment with and recommend new technologies that simplify or improve our stack
  • Build end to end full stack service for a deeply engaging user experience
  • Work in a world class engineering team of engineers, architects, scientists, and leadership that will help you grow your career
  • Design and implement distributed systems that can be scaled to serve hundreds of millions of users

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years experience with single-page architecture, front-end application frameworks (ideally React) and Javascript Unit testing framework.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications with a particular emphasis on the UI (interactions, styling, etc.)
  • Experience with FASTframework is a plus.
  • Using and maintaining JavaScript build
  • Interpreting mockups and translating them into polished and resolved UIs
  • Optimizing client performance through efficient dependency management and data access patterns
  • Modifying and extending Node.js REST API endpoints for data retrieval and persistence

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $79,600 - CAD $153,000 per year.
