As a Business Program Manager at Microsoft, in the Customer Service & Support (CSS) Organization, you will be at the forefront of our new support offer designed for Mission Critical Workloads on Azure.

This pivotal role will enable the development and delivery of our new support offer. The offer itself is designed to improve the resilience and optimization of Azure''s mission-critical applications, ensuring robust assessment, guidance, and superior application-level observability. A significant part of your role will involve cultivating relationships with stakeholders, encompassing a deep understanding of their organizations, teams, and delivery. This role will be fundamental in enabling Microsoft''s commitment to supporting Mission Critical Workloads with utmost efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of program plans for the Mission Critical Workload offer, ensuring all projects align with the strategic objectives and meet Microsoft''s standards for quality and performance.
  • Handle risk, issue, and scope change management at the program level.
  • Manage workstream deliverables with a focus on stakeholder communication, facilitation, and collaboration.
  • Address risk and issue management proactively, taking on some (CSS) Program Manager responsibilities as required.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies, ensuring clear messaging in support of project landing plans.
  • Execute and optimize the program ROB (Rhythm of Business) and ensure strategic communication plans include all program stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks associated with Mission Critical Workloads and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, providing detailed reports and actionable insights to stakeholders and executive management.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and teams within the program, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Streamline program processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Committedl leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Reliable communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of negotiating and influencing outcomes.
  • Dependable analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, particularly those related to Azure''s cloud services.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities and complex challenges.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
