The Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) Commerce team is working to enable an easier experience for customers and partners to grow, as well as to buy and do business with us by delivering a dependable, safe, and secure commerce infrastructure. The Ecosystems team is committed to driving discovery and awareness of Microsoft within our ecosystem of products and services, as well as reaching technical communities around the globe.
The Microsoft Most Valuable Professions (MVP Program) engages leading technical influencers and Microsoft engineering teams to establish a thriving community ecosystem for Microsoft products and services. Members of the MVP program often provide feedback on early-stage product plans, present at conferences and events, lead or participate in open-source projects, and create technical content such as podcasts, samples, and technical documentation. The influencers receive exclusive access to resources and benefits to help support their activities and the communities they influence.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our organization and lead the MVP program operations. As the operations lead, you would lead key projects to enable the success of the MVP program members and the product groups. This role involves partnering across Microsoft with engineering teams, product managers, cloud advocates and marketing. It also involves listening to and advocating for the global technical community of MVPs. To be successful in this role, you will need to both think strategically and executing pragmatically on opportunities to advance the program. The role is highly visible across multiple teams at Microsoft and provides an opportunity for someone to develop and advance skills in multiple areas.

Responsibilities
- Lead the operations team that provides direct support for the worldwide MVP community
- Lead and orchestrate key processes such as the review process for new MVPs and annual review of existing MVPs
- Identify and define requirements for platform improvements and tools necessary to manage the programs based on observations, insights, and feedback in partnership with engineering teams
- Analyze and communicate data insights to key stakeholders and leadership
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 3 years’ experience in developer relations and/or technical community engagement
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 5+ years’ experience in managing cross-functional projects across events of varying sizes in a high-tech, fast paced environment with a focus on audience engagement
- Experience in product management or engineering delivering cloud-based services
- Experience leading projects using agile methodologies and modern project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalents
- Ability to drive execution against a larger strategy, experiment with creative ideas, and driving ongoing process improvement
- Experience using analytics data to define and share business insights and create hypothesis for experiments
- 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
