Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

The Cloud Procurement Operations team, as a part of the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) group is an exciting and fast evolving organization within Microsoft. Procurement Operations is accountable for Cloud procurement and contract execution and controls.

Cloud Controls & Procurement Execution (CCPE) is within CSCP and supports procurement business needs to facilitate growth of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, including quality control of 'MyOrder' purchase orders (POs), reviewing and routing contracts, procurement process education, network PO creation, supplier onboarding, and assisting project owners in efficiently navigating the procurement process, while enforcing both corporate and business group purchasing policies to mitigate risk to Microsoft.

We are looking for a high energy Program Manager who is passionate about operations while solving complex business optimization problems at scale. Our desired individual will have excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, and strong project management skills. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to manage large volumes of work while possessing the skills to quickly communicate with stakeholders and identify priorities. We are looking for you to build and create a foundation ready to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent organization, communication, project management with BI (business intelligence) and Analytical skills will lead to success in this role, in addition to getting an opportunity to build cloud-related business acumen and sharpen program/technical management skills.
  • Lead with outstanding communication, problem solving, and program management skills.
  • Identify priorities, support automation and tool improvements, and apply process excellence to manage a high-volume workload.
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mentality and use a data driven approach to solve problems and manage change.
  • Define and control CCPE program scope while supporting business objectives.
  • Oversee transactional activities by a vendor team, ensuring accurate and timely procurement execution. Provide direction and training to drive clarity, consistency, and quality.
  • Manage escalations and resolve issues to unblock non-standard or complex scenarios. Research issues to identify root causes and drive improvements.
  • Become a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Enable cross-functional collaboration. Answer questions and facilitate compliant procurement practices.
  • Create user resources and guidance, develop process documentation, and deliver training.
  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify key business risks and opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Distill complex data and relationships into clear, concise charts and visualizations, root cause analysis and business insights using Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in analytical or data driven discipline or equivalent (Science, Statistics, Supply chain specialization)
  • Overall, 5-8 years of experience working with BI reporting tools, strong knowledge of relational databases and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Supply chain procurement, program management, or project management.
