Join the Azure Edge team and be at the forefront of revolutionizing Adaptive cloud. We're looking for a Senior Program Manager who is a reliable individual who is dedicated to understanding customer challenges and supporting a customer-centric engineering culture. This team is trying to solve scaled adoption of edge and cloud, working with strategic customer engagements and develop technical assets to accelerate customer. We synthesize customer requirements to influence product features for end-to-end solutions that delights customers.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Engage deeply with strategic customers to uncover challenges, gaps, and requirements.
  • Synthesize customer requirements to inform engineering in building products that users will love to use.
  • Support test new technology with customers and distil feedback for product teams.
  • Lead customer to deploy solutions into production and at scale.

Voice of the Customer

  • Advocate for customers, influencing Microsoft engineering roadmaps.
  • Provide clarity to different product teams by championing customer requirements and challenges.

Solution design

  • Lead customer engagements to test and adopt new technologies, ensuring quantifiable ROI for their business.
  • Design end-to-end solutions for strategic customers that address business challenges that cuts across both cloud and edge.

Asset creation

Work cross-functionally with teams and subject matter experts to create and maintain high-quality technical assets. Develop reference implementations of enterprise-grade solutions to accelerate production-level adoption.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • o OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dependable ability to be self-driven and lead complex programs independently. Competent in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, navigating ambiguity with ease.
  • Dedicated experience working direction with enterprise customers, synthesizing and advocating for customer requirements. Commitment to collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing teams, as well as external subject matter experts.
  • 5+ years experience as a customer facing solutions architect or presales with Fortune 500 customers, specifically in manufacturing.
  • Technical hands-on experience working with customers to design, build and unblock edge and cloud solutions.
  • Proficient communication skills, capable of organizing information in a clear and concise manner for diverse audiences, ranging from senior leadership to solution architects.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills with a track record of creating compelling public-facing content to help accelerate adoption of technology
  • 4+ years experience writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos), integrating various technologies for and end-2-end solution. Experience in DevOps, GitOps, IoT, Kubernetes, Hyper converge infrastructure, and Machine Learning.
  • Possesses a growth mindset and a deep passion for constant learning and professional development.
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Dependable organizational skills, managing multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
