The Experiences + Devices (E+D) Executive Management Office is looking to fill a key role focusing on Employee Experiences programs. E+D is an engineering organization that works closely together to enable the Microsoft mission to deliver products, services, and devices that people, and organizations trust and love in all aspects of their lives at work, home and at school.

As part of the E+D executive office, it will be essential to uphold the team’s philosophy to operate with the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, inclusivity, and trust. This role will orchestrate across many stakeholders for core deliverables and requires an individual who is a great team player, a self-starter, strategic thinker and adaptable to jumping in to solve issues and drive solutions across the business.

The E+D Employee Experiences team designs, implements, and operates large-scale global programs across the Experiences + Devices organization that support Microsoft’s aspire-to culture of creating an environment where everyone can be their full, authentic selves in alignment with our values and do their best work every day. There are seven programs in the E+D Employee Experiences portfolio and growing. We are an agile self-driven team that depends on one another and delivers!

This Senior Business Operations Manager will lead E+D’s Arrive onboarding program. Arrive is comprised of six 6 onboarding activities across a 6-month new employee journey. This employee will not only manage the process and workflow, but also lead and facilitate onboarding sessions with E+D new employees. They will orchestrate processes, tools, and communications across a large global virtual team. They will support the Employee Experiences communication planning and rhythm of business across the portfolio of programs by surveying and tracking audience participation and feedback, sharing insights and perspective to continue to evolve and improve the Employee Experience programs while maximizing value to all E+D employees.

Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Use strategic thinking and program management skills to design, implement, and evolve large scale programs. Take a vision and craft a tangible program design into execution. Work in ambiguous situations across a dynamic fast-paced environment. Coordinate multiple activities at one time using effective program management capabilities ensuring outcomes are achieved on time to quality.
  • Process Design and Management: Create and reengineer global workflow processes through automation with a history of solving tough problems in complex environments. This role requires solid business acumen and analytical skills to be successful.
  • Communication: Communicate verbally and written across all levels of the organization to manage global programs and bring others along the journey. Develop executive level presentations including storyboarding and present to a CVP level audience. Understand a robust rhythm of business management. Use out-of-the-box creative thinking to heighten awareness and increase excitement and engagement in all Employee Experience programs.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Cross-team collaboration, influence and impact to bring people together and build a culture and team that allows our employees to bring their best every day for our customers, company, and each other.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management leading large cross-divisional programs and teams from strategy formulation to implementation with a demonstrated record of measurable success
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ year experience with Excel and Modern SharePoint site creation and editing

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and advanced knowledge of business management and operational processes with the ability to multitask and manage multiple, high-stakes projects and deliverables simultaneously across workgroups and stakeholders under continual deadline constraints
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills – flexibility, proactiveness, teamwork, and ability to effectively communicate with all levels and work with fast-paced, global virtual teams and programs
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership while demonstrating influence management skills by persuading, leading, and motivating others
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize the complex; take multiple, complicated, disparate inputs and transform it into simple, clear, succinct actions and initiatives

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
