Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

You will be part of exciting journey of Cloud Capacity Planning (CCP), India Centre-of-Excellence (CoE), making an impact on Global Cloud Supply Chain by working on various areas like Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Inventory Optimization and transformation. Your domain expertise in various areas such as Operations Planning and Orchestration, Supply Chain, Logistics and Manufacturing Planning, KPI tracking, and development will be leveraged. You will be faced with problems ambiguous in nature and will need to think creatively and practically to develop effective solutions to address them. You will interact closely with fellow data scientists, PMs, engineers, leadership teams and other stakeholders in Supply Chain Execution teams by acting as a subject matter expert in planning.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop / improve capacity plan that meets customer needs, while maintaining compliance to supply and execution policies, throughput capacities and contractual requirements
  • Drive Inventory and buffer optimization processes to achieve the desired customer service levels at optimal cost
  • Drive supply-demand match and mitigation plans for capacity gaps, as well as what-if scenarios to support decision making with a service mindset
  • Provide a clear forecast and prioritized signal downstream to the end-to-end execution teams
  • Partner with product engineering, supply chain, finance, data center ops, cloud server hardware and networking teams to ensure all functions act in alignment with common goals
  • Manage key KPI and optimize the plan for availability, revenue and cost
  • Identify process, tools and systems improvement opportunities and drive improvement and transformation efforts to optimize planning
  • Apply advanced analytics concepts toward rich insights and key financial and strategic decisions
  • Manage transition in features and offerings, as well as underlying infrastructure or hardware changes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the supply chain, related product/technology, business administration or engineering field (prefer Masters)
  • 6+ years' experience in the supply chain - Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, PLC
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Planning Systems (such as SAP, Oracle, E2Open etc.) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau) are highly desired for this role.

Program Management- You need to be able to lead cross-functional teams on complex projects with many variables.

  • Generating clarity- This is one of the most important aspects of what we do. Our job is to align everyone on the same plan and keep them there. This requires contact communication and diligence to squash any ambiguity.
  • Data and Analytical Skills- Are you able to identify themes and leanings out of data? Define the essence of a function and measure its success. Provide KPI that are clear to understand and can drive decision making. Are you able to generate data visualization for practitioner's use leveraging large data handling skills?
  • Results- Are you a doer who can span from strategic thinking to getting stuff done and consistently delivering? Ultimately ensuring capacity availability at the right cost and minimal surprises or churn.
  • Communications and influencing; Can you build relationships and influence people - from execs to individuals, across business and technical disciplines? Are you equally adept at leading cross-functional meetings or building rapport and personal connection in 1X1 conversation
  • Excellent collaboration and partnering skills are essential. Great collaborators aren’t just easy to work with- they also raise tough questions, challenge others as necessary and negotiate with/win solutions.
