The Capacity Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) group is an exciting and fast-evolving group within Microsoft whose vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering cloud capacity differentiated at scale. The organization is responsible for strategy, delivery and operations of all data centers globally powering Microsoft cloud properties. CSCP supports over 200 online businesses including Bing, Office365, OneDrive, Xbox and Windows Azure branded services.

The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Sustainability and Security (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of all servers, storage, and networking devices hardware for cloud data centers. We are dedicated to ensuring reliable performance, preventing unplanned investments, optimizing costs, and providing accurate information across the supply base. Our priority is smart growth and high efficiency to deliver a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are looking for a Director, Digital Transformation to help build sustainable advantages through supply chain strategy and management.

Responsibilities

As a Director, Digital Transformation you will be responsible for the following:

  • Drive key strategic initiatives for the organization, working as team leader with a group of project managers and cross-function stakeholders.
  • Define and implement the digital roadmap in alignment with our overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, key stakeholders, business owners, and IT leaders to ensure the most impactful business outcomes are prioritized and operationalized.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver programs on-time, within scope, and on budget.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience and managing transformation programs
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field
  • 5+ years supply chain experience
  • High-Tech or supply chain operations knowledge / experience
  • Ability to develop, propose, and drive strategic agenda
  • Ability to manage multiple strategy projects concurrently
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization
  • Excellent communication and synthesizing skills of both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership skills and an ownership mindset
  • Lean Six Sigma/Black Belt certified or equivalent demonstrated ability on approach and methodology
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong skills in financial business case analysis and cost modeling

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
