Our team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive our product innovation workstream for Microsoft Teams messaging and collaboration. In this role, you’ll work with researchers on the cutting edge of the generative AI field and envision how these emerging capabilities come to life in Teams messaging.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with research, design, engineering, and marketing colleagues to imagine, define and deliver innovative product solutions; someone who loves working at a rapid pace to prototype and evaluate new ideas and who is excited about generative AI as a new paradigm for collaboration, productivity, and communication would be a perfect fit on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product development process from ideation to launch, working closely with research, design, engineering, data and marketing teams.
  • Lead nimble, cross-functional teams to operate at a high velocity and rapidly prototype and validate new ideas and concepts.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and communicate them clearly to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the value proposition and benefits of generative AI collaboration and productivity, and influence product roadmaps and strategies within the organization and with partner teams.
  • Maintain an awareness of the market landscape and state of the art, perform competitive analysis, and leverage user feedback and data insights to validate product assumptions and hypotheses.
  • Measure and evaluate product performance and user satisfaction, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, risks, and plans to all levels of the organization, and solicit feedback and buy-in from senior management and cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with multiple partners across internal and external boundaries and build relationships with research teams across Microsoft.
  • Contribute to a culture that fosters creativity, diversity, and inclusion; and help make the team a fun and inspiring place to work.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with AI technologies, especially generative AI, and familiarity with the latest trends and developments in the field.
  • 2+ years of experience shipping enterprise-quality products, and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or equivalent role in the software industry.
  • Experience working at a high velocity to define and develop proofs of concept to test and evaluate new ideas.
  • Work on projects from vision to launch.
  • Ability to get hands on with code to evaluate and illustrate new ideas is a plus.
  • Proficent in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and diverse team with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and rapid change while staying true to customer needs through experimentation and customer studies.
  • Has analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, and ability to use data and customer feedback to drive product decisions.
  • Passionate, creative, and customer-focused, and driven by a growth mindset and a desire to learn and improve.
  • Team player, confident, independent, and enthusiastic.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $104,000 - CAD $193,200 per year.
