The Product Quality Manager will work cross-functionally with operations and development teams while being responsible for product/manufacturing site qualification, manufacturing quality metrics, audits, corrective/preventive action process & the overall deployment & management of the Quality system.

This role is based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

As a Product Quality Manager you will

  • measure, monitor and improve factory quality performance based on established acceptable quality and performance levels
  • Support root cause analysis on supplier and product related issues and drive corrective actions to eliminate the problems at the source
  • Initiate and implement process, quality, and documentation improvement projects based on supplier performance data
  • Enforce industry best quality manufacturing practices at all manufacturing sites, including specifying and monitoring IQC, OBA, GR&R, FAI, and the implementation and management of the overall manufacturing Quality Strategy.
  • Interface and support the customer auditing group.

Additionally, you will work with development teams to implement measurement systems for Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters for the component/system and tie those attributes into the specification and the manufacturer’s Quality Management System.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field AND 2+ years enterprise computer, consumer electronics design or hyperscale supply chain systems experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field AND 1+ year(s) enterprise computer, consumer electronics design or hyperscale supply chain systems experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
    • 2+ years experience in hardware manufacturing and quality in consumer electronics industry
    • US citizen or a Permanent resident (Green card holder) for a minimum of 2 years.

    Other Requirements

    • This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C.
    • 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.
    • This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States of America government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law.     Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

    • Establishing process controls experience including poke yokes
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field AND 5+ years enterprise computer, consumer electronics design or hyperscale supply chain systems experience
    • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with product and supplier quality experience, working experience with product standards, statistical methods, risk management, and corrective/preventive action process.
    • Knowledge of Quality System Regulation, Statistical Process Control and ISO Quality System Standard, good verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by ability to generate technical reports.
    • Military specifications experience desirable.
    • Military experience is desirable.
    • DCMA interfacing experience is desirable.
    • Ability to translate Customer requirements into process control documentation.

    Manufacturing Test Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
