With hundreds of millions of users using M365 services, a ton of data is generated every day. Data is a mission critical for M365 services for engineering teams to understand and monitor the quality of live services, discover the insights on how people use M365 products and features, and support issue troubleshooting and mitigation.

Our team covers the whole lifecycle of service telemetry and operational data, starting from data instrumentation from M365 services, data ingestions to cloud storage, data processing and optimization in the cloud distributed computing system, storage management, generating insights around the data, empowering AIOps scenarios and building common infrastructure/tools/process to benefit service operation. We also make sure the whole system meets the privacy and compliance requirements because Microsoft runs on Trust! Responsibilities

The quality of the service means a lot for the success of Office365 services. You will have plenty of opportunities to participate into the work related to various of areas on big data platform and M365 Telemetry infrastructures.

  • Drive the modernization and evolution of M365 telemetry instrumentation SDK.
  • Build and standardize the hyper-sale data ingestion solutions to achieve high reliability with low cost.
  • Collaborate with M365 component teams to build data driven AIOps solutions to ensure M365 service quality.
  • Ensure the telemetry and data platform could meet Compliance & Privacy regulations.
  • Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the service.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field, solid Computer Science fundamentals
  • At least 3 years of experience on design/development. No limited on the languages.
  • Quick learning and solid problem solving, strong design, coding, and debugging capabilities
  • Fluent communication in English: reading, writing, listening, and speaking
  • Accountable and proactive, cross-team collaboration
  • NET, Azure, Cloud, data knowledge and experience will be a plus
