The Engineering, Data, Operations & Tools (EDOT) organization is looking for a dynamic and driven individual to ensure consistent and repeatable approaches to the planning function, understanding strategic initiatives which enable increased capabilities and operational efficiencies across Microsoft Customer & Partner Solutions (MCAPS), globally.

As a Senior Business Planner, you will have the high-visibility opportunity to work on a team chartered with driving focus on MCAPS strategic initiatives that enable prioritized business needs. You will partner closely with the engineering teams that develop the core foundation of our customer experiences, provide thought leadership on balancing business impact and time to market, and lead conversations with executives to drive alignment and decision-making. A successful Senior Business Planner will be self-directed strategic thinker, with collaboration skills and a track record of delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across MCAPS Business Units, EDOT, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Design a world-class process for managing a high-volume of requests from multiple business units into a consolidated list which reflects the top priorities of our business leaders.
  • Create and deliver materials that synthesize details into an effective story and present to leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to unlock further revenue, drive customer satisfaction, define risks, and create controls.
  • Build concise and impactful written presentations and targeted communications as required to drive new strategies and resolve underlying issues.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Business Planning, Corporate Strategy and/ or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross-group collaboration, working across diverse stakeholders to build partnerships, define benchmarks and execute initiatives.
  • Compelling storytelling and presentation skills, experience presenting to leadership.
  • Experience in the cloud computing industry, with an understanding of SaaS commercial programs, sales, channel and contracting motions.
  • Self-directed strategic thinker, with a track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to learn, understand and connect complex business models.

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
