As part of the Identity and Network Access team, your love of words and language will have the opportunity to shine through as you ensure every Microsoft Entra feature (including Copilot) and page makes sense and resonates with IT professionals. Your skill in taking complex technologies and creating approachable and engaging content will be key to your success. Working autonomously with senior stakeholders across engineering, design, and marketing, you'll have a unique view into our products that you'll use to drive a consistent voice and improve what we say and how we say it.

Responsibilities
- Play a key role in producing usable and intuitive user interfaces through collaboration with product owners and engineering, shepherding end-to-end product experiences from concept to shipment. Raises the content design bar with innovative solution strategies and experience design recommendations.
- Drive terminology decision-making to bring an informed point of view, experience, and data/research. Advise on how to embed key concepts, names, terms, and copy which are aligned with customers' intent and mental models.
- Champions best practices across the organization which promote clear, concise, and meaningful language that is aligned with Microsoft's voice and style standards.
- Translate business and user needs and technology constraints into concepts that are meaningful, easy to use, and engaging. Concept clear UX communication for complex products to improve product designs and structure flows. Contributes to ongoing design system development, driving expansion of the design system across teams.
- Collaborate with partners including engineering, UX design, research, data science, and product marketing from the earliest stages all the way through launch.
- Synthesizes complex ideas, articulates user wants, and drives data-informed solutions.
- Influence product decisions, team direction, and strategy.
- Sells work effectively to amplify individual and team capabilities, expand design thinking, and broaden the impact of work.
- Master's Degree in Arts, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND several years experience as a creative director, copywriter, content strategist, managing editor, technical writer, or similar role with a technology company or integrated/digital/brand agency OR equivalent experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND several years experience as a creative director, copywriter, content strategist, managing editor, technical writer, or similar role with a technology company or integrated/digital/brand agency OR equivalent experience
- An online portfolio or samples of work that show experience writing for user-centered design solutions. Includes the problem to be solved, your contributions, and user impact
- Significant experience creating UI content for large software products or suites of software products
- Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with designers and developers
- High technical aptitude and attention to detail—and not afraid of complicated subject matter
