Team Overview

The Magic Insights and Intelligent Experiences (MIIX) team is responsible for informing strategic decision-making and guiding organizational impact through analysis, research, & opportunity discovery. Further, we’re on the leading edge of delivering intelligent features into the Magic product portfolio to continue raising the bar of our customer experience by reducing customer friction, driving increased productivity, and generally helping customers get more done faster.

Within MIIX, our Intelligence and Infrastructure team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to help drive investments in our Data Platform to support Data Engineering and Data Science scenarios as we deliver datasets for in-product intelligence, ML (machine learning) models, and analyses which are drivers of customer engagement, retention and growth among M365 users.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the data use scenarios of MIIX and other stakeholders as they apply to delivering on Magic business goals
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to define the vision for the Data Engineering platform
  • Work with Data Engineering to define and implement strategy for cross-team datasets
  • Translate Magic data use scenarios into technical requirements for Engineering and Data Science
  • Stay current on technology in Microsoft and the industry as it applies to easy-to-use, compliant datasets

Qualifications

This role requires someone with:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in technical program management or strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to tell a concise story about complex subject matter
  • Understanding of technology used in acquiring, storing, and processing data (e.g., Hadoop/Spark, Azure Data Factory)
  • Ability to find and explain commonality across varying business and technical requirements
  • An intense customer focus, and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects across a broad set of stakeholders under tight deadlines
  • A proven knack for cross-team collaboration with experience in leading virtual teams to drive results
  • Experience with Data Privacy, and Data Science tools such as Azure Machine Learning a plus
