Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

As the Planning Transformational Leader within the Cloud Supply Chain’s Planning group, you will partner with multiple Microsoft Cloud supply chain organizations to lead and drive process and system transformation for Planning. Your objective is to enable increasing scale and growth of Microsoft Cloud with efficient and effective processes supported by appropriate automation.

Responsibilities

As the Planning Transformational Leader within the Cloud Global Supply Chain’s Planning group you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading cross-functional transformation of Global Supply Chain’s Planning (GSCP)
  • Driving maturity in transformation processes and governance, working with other leaders across CSCP and other organizations
  • Improving the ability to deliver to business-critical needs in an agile and timely manner with high quality, working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensuring business ownership and approval for system improvements that affect GSCP
  • Measuring and improving the ability to deliver on cross-functional transformation programs
  • Ensuring continued focus on maturation of prioritization and governance processes for transformation initiatives
  • Contributing tolLong-term vision framework and for GSCP business capabilities and enablers
  • Driving team effectiveness in contributions to all steps of the development/deployment process: needs/opportunity identification and impact quantification, requirements generation, design decisions, user acceptance test development, coordination of subject matter experts, sign-off of deliverables
  • Contributing industry best practice knowledge and leadership for process and system approaches for forecasting, capacity planning, hardware demand planning, inventory buffering, supply planning and long-range planning
  • Developing and continuously improving the GSCP Transformation Team, including subject matter expertise, cross-functional leadership competencies, communications, and results, through a combination of hiring, mentoring, training, and other approaches

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in supply chain, data analysis or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects supporting supply chain.
  • 6+ years of broad and deep and supply chain/transformation/business planning experience.
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Process and Systems Thinking with proven record of accomplishment in discovering connections (and gaps) between seemingly disparate or independent components of a framework.
  • Demonstrated Change Leadership - successes in leading large-scale process and organization transformation.
  • Ability to define a future state vision, gain buy-in from disparate organizations, and lead those organizations toward a desired end state is highly preferred.
  • Extensive Project Management experience managing the implementation of large, complex Supply Chain Systems projects, including forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, purchasing / sourcing, warehousing / inventory management.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, with good understanding of different supply chain models
  • Ability to manage, evaluate, and mentor of team members of different levels of skill and knowledge located across different locations and time zones
  • Hands-on leadership experience moving fluidly from long-term strategy to day-to-day tactical implementation.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Planning Systems (such as SAP, Oracle, E2Open, etc.) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.) are highly desired for this role.
  • Experience in driving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation is preferred.

Technical Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.
