Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

The Cloud Sourcing, Sustainability, Spares and Security (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of hardware for the data centers while driving sustainability innovation through the newly formed Sustainability Program Management Office (PMO).

As Microsoft scales to become the global leader in cloud deployments and services, the Sustainability PMO in CS4 is charged with embedding sustainability across the product lifecycle by deeply understanding the environmental impact of our supply chain and cloud hardware underpinning our cloud growth. With scientific and data centric approaches we are leading a sustainability transformation, leveraging a multitude of data sources and information to successfully reduce environmental impact through cloud products, software and hardware engineering, engagement with suppliers and enabling a supply chain transformation.

This role will be critical to facilitating this transformation by helping to develop and implement our cloud sustainability program end-to-end. The right person will engage and cultivate the internal collaborations between engineering teams and the Sustainability PMO that are driven by customer demands for sustainability solutions. Some work will include documenting goals, roadmapping strategy and workback plans, writing business requirements documents, and enabling visualizations for highly technical data and information. Together with subject matter experts (Sustainability Science, Methodologies. & Standards team - SSMS) in the Sustainability PMO, the TPM will help business groups meet Microsoft commitments to become carbon negative and zero waste by 2030. The role will empower all lines of business within CSCP with insight and guidance to track progress towards these goals and enable innovative sustainability products and solutions. We are looking for someone to partner across organizations to turn vision into action.
