The Enablement & Operations (E&O) team for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) drives the development and execution of the commercial strategy and field operating model for Microsoft’s customer and partner facing organization. E&O works to simplify and optimize our operating model and develop strategies to empower the most productive and trusted commercial business on the planet. This includes how the organization benefits customers and partners, enabling MCAPS to support them more effectively, efficiently, and with differentiation.



The Global Sales Excellence and Operations team is expanding with its newest addition of a Sales Operations and Business Program Manager - Community lead. This person will be the owner of Business Sales Operations and Sales Excellence roles strategy and definitions, as well as the community management and activation. This includes the definition of the evolution roadmap for the roles based on an understanding of best practices, as well as the establishment of a vibrant and collaborative Sales excellence and operations community that promotes the sharing of best practices and supports professional growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Role Design and Coordination: Oversee and own roles within Sales Excellence and Operations across all segments and solution areas. Collaborate with core role owners and field Sales Execution and Operations (SE&O) teams and stakeholders to define the evolution roadmap based on best practices, business needs, requirements, and associated functions/capabilities. Develop and drive the program management framework for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) core team-sponsored landing activities and integrate the overall program roadmap.

Field Engagement : Partner with field sales operations and excellence leaders to understand active priorities and needs for improving sales excellence and operations activation. Support Fiscal Year (FY) planning, drive capacity gains, and promote the adoption of GSOC services and MCAPS Help. Oversee Core Sales Operations functions, Rhythm of Business (RoB)/Innovation Acceleration Program (IAP) initiatives, pipeline health, sales execution, and sales operations transformation. Partner with MCAPS Regional teams to effectively implement programs and processes defined by core teams across regions/operating units.

Community Development/Capability Building: Establish and manage forums to enhance organizational sales excellence and operations capability and consistency. Foster a vibrant and collaborative Sales Excellence and Operations community that promotes the sharing of best practices and supports professional growth and operational excellence. Define the engagement model with the Sales Excellence and Operations community throughout the year and during FY Planning. Lead FY planning activities for Sales Excellence and Operations roles. Implement an onboarding program for new community members.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement o OR equivalent experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

Sales Operations/Excellence or Go-To-Market Experience in software, hardware, or related adjacent industry

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
