Overview

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and creative strategic thinker to join our Revenue Enablement team to lead the Go-to-Market (GTM) Enablement Team at GitHub. In this management role, you will operate in a player/coach capacity. You will lead a team that is responsible for various revenue programs and initiatives, personally driving the strategy, build, and execution of critical GTM initiatives, guiding the creation of revenue enablement solutions using professional strategy and in-depth knowledge. This leader supports the implementation of enablement solutions by partnering with strategic stakeholders and leaders across the organization. This will include owning the product, industry, competitive, pricing, and revenue operations enablement programs and strategy, and leading the GTM Enablement Team. You will partner across Field Enablement, Global Enablement, Revenue Leadership (sales, customer success, and technical roles), Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to understand organizational goals, and to strategize and build key programs. You should be knowledgeable and passionate about enablement and operational excellence, and have experience launching large scale enablement experiences to revenue audiences.

Responsibilities

Management:

  • Model, coach, and care: Lead and coach a team of enablement professionals to accomplish the build, launch, and ongoing execution of strategic, impactful Go-to-Market (GTM) enablement programs

Day-to-day Readiness and Training:

  • Understand and be passionate about GTM enablement, including product enablement, product launch processes and mechanisms, industry enablement, and enablement content
  • Develop and own the ongoing mechanisms, strategies, and systems to operationalize the GTM enablement function
  • Demonstrate understanding of Guru, Seismic, and enablement technology softwares, building innovative ways to leverage technology in program rollouts and in other enablement-wide team initiatives

Microsoft enablement:

  • Owns the Microsoft enablement strategy for GitHub, overseeing the global approach and helping team members navigate the Microsoft ecosystem, and ensuring that the Microsoft voice is present in all enablement materials and programs
  • Help support the build and strategy for our internal partner enablement

Program management:

  • Lead the build and ownership of GitHub GTM enablement programs, including product, compete, industry, and MFST enablement; Demonstrate data-driven impact on the business through GTM
  • Lead the field activation of product launches and ongoing field communications; Ensure team is prepared to activate key product and solutions within the revenue organization

Impact management:

  • Develop and operationalize a feedback loop which captures and prioritizes the metrics needed to inform program vision/scope/planning; Support and oversee the operational practices across the team, identifying areas for collaboration, efficiency, and productivity increases
  • Establish key performance indicators to track the impact of continuous enablement programs; work with the Revenue Operations teams, including analytics, to develop and maintain important metrics, dashboards, and reporting in order to make recommendations on program improvements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Many years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • People management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Many years eople management experience leading a remote team
  • Project management experience
  • Experience and familiarity of working with enablement technology tools
  • Experience working with other revenue operations functions, including Project Management Office (PMO), Deal Desk, Sales Operations, and Analytics
