Overview

GitHub is seeking a motivated individual to lead our newly formed Revenue Productivity team. This role reports into the VP of Global Revenue Operations & Enablement. This role is pivotal in driving productivity, consistency, efficiency and effectiveness across the entire Revenue organization. This individual will lead a team focused on processes and technology, program and project management, and indirectly guide engineers building internal solutions to ensure the foundational and strategic day to day operations run seamlessly. The successful candidate will be well versed in managing teams and creating and optimizing operational processes that can demonstrate measured productivity improvements. We are looking for a leader who has the ability to quickly align with senior leaders, can ask the right questions to get to the root cause, be an innovator and quickly prioritize and take action.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day to day operations of the Revenue Productivity team, including:

  • Overseeing the direction and remit of the Process & Infrastructure team, this includes setting goals and priorities, defining key improvement within our Revenue tech stack (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach, Tatango), to provide strategic direction in the standardization of processes and tools across all of Revenue.
  • Drive consistent, visible and on time programs and projects through the Revenue PMO, these will include short and long term defined projects and alignment with our Product & Engineering teams for Product Launches & Releases.
  • Defining, designing, deciphering and prioritizing key productivity initiatives; these must be measurable, aligned to the needs of the business and time bound.
  • Indirectly managing a team of software engineers to develop internal automations that remove manual processes Communicating the key initiatives in flight, the next to take flight and those in the evaluation phase to senior-level stakeholders and across the organization.
  • Synthesizes feedback from internal customers and provides recommendations to senior stakeholders on a regular basis. Acts as center of excellence by owning best practices and cascading these to the team and corporate leaders.
  • Managing, mentoring, and fostering a synergy within the team and thinking of creative ways to challenge and develop personnel.
  • Bringing innovative best practices to evolve the Revenue Productivity team to be proactive change leaders within the Revenue organization.
  • Presenting partnering at Executive (VP+) levels to align on key goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, customer success, finance, marketing operations, or a related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences or related field AND 10+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, customer success, finance, marketing operations, or a related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field AND 8+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, customer success, finance, marketing operations, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Experience within a high-growth SaaS technology company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with consumption-based business models
  • Experience with software engineering/engineering best practices
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $122,500.00 - USD $325,000.00 /Yr.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
