Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization.

The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages Operations execution and System Integrator performance for supply of hardware to the data centers. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years working experience in Supply Planning Experience with SAP IBP Supply Planning or similar supply planning tools such as Kinaxis, Oracle Cloud Planning, etc.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with business tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint) and able to generate quality outputs.
  • 3+ years of experience in project or program management with proven track record of successfully setting up and executing supply chain operational processes.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings


Microsoft Cloud Background Check

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years in equivalent experience - supply planning, operations, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, production control, master scheduling,
    • OR related experience.
  • 5+ years working experience in Operations Supply Planning.
  • Cloud/high tech experience.
  • Knowledge of supply planning disciplines and best practices.
  • Experience with supply chain analytics and modeling techniques.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple layers in the organization.

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Program Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Owning the server rack supply health for a portfolio of products, making weekly decisions about volume and mix of products to order to maintain finished good inventory health.
  • Develop and manage processes and capabilities that enable the Supply Chain Operations Planning team to build the right server products at the right place and time to support our cloud capacity needs.
  • Driving continuous improvement projects to simplify and standardize our operations planning work.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of upstream and downstream partners both internally and with suppliers to drive our weekly and monthly operations planning processes.
