Overview
- The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.
- As a Partner Development Manager, you are expected to bring your strong work ethic, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion to drive significant growth and change within our partner ecosystem. Your challenger mindset, knowledge of the technology industry, market insights, understanding of the competitive landscape, and superior interpersonal skills will be crucial in empowering your teams to expand our robust ecosystem of world-class partners.
This role will enable these partners to deliver market-defining solutions to our customers. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations or related field AND 8+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry (OR equivalent experience)
- 10+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry.
- 2+ years people management experience or
Responsibilities
- Especialy Mid market(SMC/SMB) Partner portfolio leadership and optimization - You will establish long-term partner recruitment strategies and expand current partnerships to create a balanced high-performance portfolio, grow business, and anticipate or fill market opportunities.
- Strategic Vision and Value Partnering / Strategic Alignment - You will lead your team in the creation of a strategic vision, creating and executing business plans that ensure alignment between the overall value of Microsoft and the Partner’s business goals. You will coach and challenge your team to land the partner business plans with partner’s senior leadership.
- Partner Sales Leadership - You will act as sales manager and coach the team through your experience and strong knowledge with channel partners management, following Microsoft internal sales methodology. You will build a rhythm of business to ensure sales execution with partners in collaboration with internal teams at Microsoft. You will coach teams through resolving blockers to accelerate sales and act as the escalation point for complex situations.
- Market Insight and Business Opportunity - You will lead and challenge your team to identify top opportunities to pursue with partners incorporating your expertise, market insights, and deep knowledge of the competitive landscape ensuring your teams position Microsoft as the industry leader.
- Executive Relationship Building - Mentor teams to build deep relationships with complex partners, training and coaching to help teams understand partner and Microsoft priorities and goals. Executive sponsor top partners and spend 50%+ of your time with partners and customers.
- Spearhead various changes and communicate with partners to create win-win relationships on a collaborative basis with partners.
- Career Development - Focuses on team development, leverages resources to help employees develop their skills, encourages mentorship, and supports career interests.
