We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer II for our Outlook Extensibility team. This team is responsible for developing add-in APIs for both Desktop and Mobile platforms, enhancing the functionality and user experience of Outlook. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, and a passion for driving innovation in the extensibility space.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and proven algorithm design capability.
  • Good technical, cross group collaboration and communication skills.

Other Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deliver the requirements of add-in APIs for Outlook on Desktop and Mobile platforms.
  • Be a team player and contributor of a high performing, talented group of engineers and foster a diverse, inclusive, and result driven team culture.
  • Seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers.
