We also power location understanding capabilities for MAI Organization. You will build a highly motivated team to work on researching, driving, and solving complex technical problems in Autosuggest and Geocoding. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND extended years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Extended years of experience building commercial grade software, with much of that experience in mission-critical, large scale, high availability services.
  • Experience as an engineering manager, or a technical lead with a passion for coaching and mentoring others. Leading projects and software engineers.
  • Experience communicating vision\roadmap to leadership, and technical architecture\concepts to a broader team.

Other Requirements:

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Search or autosuggest experience.
  • Experience with maps data and / or geospatial services
  • Experience with statistical methods, large data analytics and ML
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the team in design, develop and maintain efficient and scalable algorithms for Autosuggest and Geocoding, ensuring adherence to modern engineering practices through design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with remote teams in Redmond, US, work with peer Engineering Managers and Product Managers to define joint goals, meet immediate and long-term business objectives.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture, design, code reviews, development, live site and monitoring.
  • Build a vision for changing the underlying technology of the location services meeting current and future needs, coach the team in landing it while maintaining the availability of production services.
  • Drive modern engineering practices such as continuous integration, automated deployments.
  • Stay up to date with latest in technologies such as LLM, to improve quality, relevance, efficiency of location search services.
  • Foster a positive team culture and embody company values, ensuring collaboration, innovation, and personal development are prioritized within the team.
