Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our organization to develop Supply Chain platform solutions that power Cloud and Devices supply chains for Microsoft. We are building solutions that give Microsoft the ability to succeed in an ever-changing business environment. The Software Engineer II will help build solutions with SAP products and innovate in the areas of customer experience, sustainability, integrative Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation of our processes and systems, data driven solutions, while continuously improving operational excellence (security, resiliency, scalability, costs). In this role, you will be helping deliver robust, quality business applications by collaboratively engineering our SAP transactional backbone from the ground up to meet the specific requirements of our partners in a constantly evolving business environment. Successful candidates will have in-depth technical experience with SAP supply chain planning solutions. They should be able to combine their technical skills with enthusiasm, ingenuity, results-orientation, and ability in working with the rest of the team.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, ABAP, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in configuring/developing end to end SAP supply chain planning solutions (SAP IBP/APO) OR equivalent experience.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in configuring/developing end to end SAP supply chain planning solutions (SAP IBP/APO) OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant enterprise software design and SAP configuration. experience with focus on IBP/APO modules such as S&OP, Demand and Response & Supply, Business Network Collaboration (IBP/Ariba), Cloud Platform Integration (CI-DS), Smart Data Integration (SDI), Real-Time Integration (RTI) and Core Interface (CIF).
- 2+ years of experience working with modern engineering practices included, but not limited to: SAFe, Agile/Lean, CI/CD, or similar Agile development/implementation methodology.
- Technical implementation knowledge in Integrations with ECC or S/4 Hana, Ariba and other internal/external systems development/implementation methodology.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for the following:
- Effective systems design, configuration, and testing, for our integrated business planning processes (specifically SAP IBP S&OP, IBP Demand Planning, IBP Inventory, IBP Response and Supply) ensuring they are always positioned to drive high-quality, reliable, systems enablement.
- Effective systems design, configuration, and testing, for SAP ERP processes (specifically SAP MM/SD, Ariba SCC, APO GATP and CIF) ensuring they are always positioned to drive high-quality, reliable, systems enablement.
- Evaluate existing transactions related to inbound and outbound processes & systems to identify opportunities to improve planning and execution.
- Execution of work plans to land high-value systems improvements that drive quality and scale, by working with internal and external partners on the design and deployment of systems-enabled capabilities, ensuring functionality, usability & supportability.
- Build and operate the services in a SAP DevOps Environment. Own the services in production, monitor, analyze, track and remediate issues in production.
- Partnering with value stream, Engineering and Architecture colleagues, to identify emerging industry trends and the related SAP technologies/roadmap, ensuring we, always, have a roadmap for process, tools, & technology that optimizes the landscape, for premium Windows devices & accessories.
