Overview

In Azure AI, we are ensuring responsible development and deployment of the next generation of cutting-edge generative AI models like GPT-4. If you join our Responsible AI team, you will join an organization committed to partnering with stakeholders across policy, research, and engineering to help every product team in Microsoft ship these evolving technologies responsibly.

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager- Responsible AI to join our team.

On the Responsible AI team, we work to ensure that each new product or technology we build is developed and used responsibly. In this role, you will drive Responsible AI product innovation to design and develop new technologies to address the potential risks of emerging AI and enable developers to successfully and safely use it in real-world applications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

    o OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Responsible AI or Digital Safety or Security
  • Experience with Generative AI.
  • Experience with NLU/NLP/NLG and language models

Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Product Manager for Responsible AI, you will build and drive state of the art products that enable customers to apply AI responsibly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of generative AI technology, customer use cases, and responsible AI practices. .
  • Use creative product thinking to synthesize successful solutions into scalable cloud services.
  • Partner closely with engineers and scientists to build models, APIs, services, and complex systems at scale.
  • Be an evangelist for the technologyshowcasing successful applications with blogs and demos.
