It leverages big data and artificial intelligence technology to provide high-quality, diverse, and personalized content services to users worldwide. The platform covers various fields including news, games, weather, finance, sports, shopping, lifestyle, and entertainment etc. User can directly access personalized MSN content from Windows and Edge browsers.

We are seeking a dedicated product manager to revolutionize MSN's content strategy, aiming to cultivate a distinctive content style and enhance brand awareness from the user's perspective.

As the end-to-end owner of this initiative, your responsibilities will include identifying user needs, defining a comprehensive content strategy, and validating hypotheses through experimentation in recommendation systems, user experience, and growth channels. You will collaborate closely with teams specializing in recommendations, user experience, content acquisition, content moderation, and growth to develop and advance the product strategy and roadmap. This role demands a combination of expertise in content strategy, product management, customer focus, user-centric design, analytics, technical proficiency, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product or content strategy in consumer facing product
  • Experience in news or feeds is product strongly desired
  • Creative and critical thinking about user needs and business needs
  • Proven track record in building innovative or challenging product
  • Self-driven with entrepreneurial skills, great problem-solving abilities to handle difficult situations with ambiguity
  • Ability to inspire and build alignment without authority
  • Exceptional English communication and presentation skills with good storytelling
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, news related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Your regular work would be:

  • Lead the vision, product strategy and roadmap.
  • Drive user research and competitor study for news consumption.
  • Build the product end to end experience through collaboration with your team, validate ideas through design, build, experimentation, and metrics.
  • Drive collaboration with different teams to reach alignment and seek opportunities of improvement by leveraging others.
  • Regularly present product updates to the leadership team.
  • Keep track of the news industry trends that could be guidance of product.
