The Monetize reporting team has built a platform that supports advanced analytics and data solutions, enabling marketplace sellers to maximize the value of their inventory through detailed and actionable insights. The platform is built on a data layer that processes and analyzes petabytes of advertising data to provide near real-time insights and comprehensive reports on revenue metrics.
The Monetize reporting team is seeking a software engineer to join as an individual contributor to help drive and scale its reporting platform at Microsoft Advertising. This role requires technical prowess to quickly learn a multitude of technologies. The engineer will work on-site in Microsoft’s Bangalore or Pune offices, in close collaboration with engineers around the globe from the real-time platform and share platform teams.
As a Software Engineer, you will join an engineering team responsible for the architecture, development, administration, and maintenance of the Monetize reporting and analytics platform. This platform is critical for our clients' success, and you'll play a key role in modernizing and enhancing it to handle constantly emerging quality challenges. You will collaborate with other teams and team members.
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong technical skills in both front-end and back-end programming who can:
- Participate in all stages of the SDLC, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
- Design and develop reliable, scalable, and testable applications, APIs, and database components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams with diverse technology backgrounds.
- Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and users.

- Stay current with technological advances to continuously optimize codebases the team is responsible for.

- Coach and mentor peers and emerging team members while advocating for best practices.
- Be part of the team’s on-call rotation.

Responsibilities
About Your Skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience developing software solutions with a strong understanding of software best practices.
- Proficient in full-stack development, both front-end (UI) and back-end (API/Server) coding.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the technologies listed below, with a willingness to adapt and learn new technologies and frameworks. Our current tech stack includes:
- Languages – Go, Typescript, Python
- Frontend frameworks – React
- Databases – MySQL, Vertica/ClickHouse, Hadoop
- Operating System – Linux
- Containerization – Docker, Kubernetes (K8)
- Other – Airflow, HDFS, Spring Boot, Kafka, Git/ADO, CI/CD
