As the Corporate Sales Director in this fast-growing customer segment, you will act as a 2nd line manager and lead a team who help our managed customers (SMC-Corporate) across industries and territories accelerate their Digital Transformation through Microsoft solution areas like Modern Workplace, Security, Business Applications, Applications and Infrastructure, and Data and AI. You will also join Japan SMC leadership team where you will be a catalyst to help our teams grow and embrace new AI infused systems and tools that are ushering in a new world of Digital Selling. We are looking for passionate, experienced, and credible specialist leaders who will follow the model | coach | care approach to developing and winning team sales strategy.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications :

  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of account sales and negotiation experience or related work OR 10+ years software industry sales and negotiation experience with year-over-year growth.
  • Language fluency both in Japanese and English

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Industry knowledge such as Manufacturing / Retail / Services etc
  • Experience to deliver Line of Business related System

Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, you will manage and develop a team of highly talented and skilled sales executives who are managing customers across industries, while coaching and driving execution to exceed business performance targets. Your team consists of talented sales professionals that help customers accelerate their business transformation engaging at the CxO level. In this complex model, you will coach and guide your team orchestrating other specialists to drive new and renew existing business.

People Leader:

  • Build and grow healthy teams through talent management, diversity and inclusion, coaching, and career development.
  • Respected sales leader with the ability to attract, retain, and develop account management resources in the field.
  • Inspire and foster a culture of customer-centricity and consumption, adoption and use through collaboration with peers and extended teams.

Customer Engagement

  • Acts as executive sponsor for key accounts. Coaches teams on maintaining strong customer relationships and advocates for customers within Microsoft.
  • Coaches teams to identify new contacts in accounts, build strong customer engagement and help digitally transform their businesses.
  • Coaches and drives growth mindset. Coaches team on senior executive engagements and relevancy to board-level approvals

Account Management

  • Coordinates resources across teams and managers to execute territory plans. Leads teams on territory management best practices and techniques. Ensures teams meet standards for portfolio optimization and have access to the tools needed for effective portfolio management.
  • Coaches managers and teams to ensure that activities are in place to drive consumption leading up to the renewal process. Drives customers to cloud solutions.
  • Maintain Product and Solution Expertise
  • Coordinates across teams to share systematic methods for staying up to date on Microsoft offers and solutions.
  • Shares best practices across teams to build a learning culture.
  • Develops and implements plans to build and maintain product and solution expertise.
  • Ensures teams has time to upskill through training and development.

Orchestration

  • Coaches managers and sellers to engage with specialized resources to provide strong solutions-based and technology-based conversations to help customers address their challenges and opportunities.
  • Engages all other managers and leaders to ensure strategic plans are executed with the right set of resources in an orderly manner.
