This Azure Infra Specialist Manager has a responsibility for Azure Infra business in Japan enterprise manufacturing industry and leads, develops and manages a team of high performing Azure Infra Specialists to drive solution opportunity revenue and market share. This role is a key leader in our overall Azure sales strategy, responsible for coordinating holistic cloud efforts across infrastructure, data, applications, and security. Preferred candidates will carry both cloud technical and business acumen to lead digital transformation efforts with customers that own both technical and decision making, including executive board rooms.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

    • Fluent communication skill with Japanese customer and partners
    • 10+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

    • Working experience for Japanese manufacturing enterprise customer.
    • 3+ years people management experience, including managing high performance sales and technical-specialist teams, coaching solution specialist and account development strategies, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations.
    • Repeatable experiences of the translate Azure’s values into business impact with strategic planning
    • Deep Understanding of:
      • The enterprise customer needs of global customers
      • Microsoft’s commercial cloud offerings – including not only Azure IaaS, but Azure PaaS (e.g.App platform, AI, Dev Tools) and Azure Security (e.g. Azure Sentinel and Defender for xx)
      • Competitors and related ecosystems
    • Partner Engagement: Bring together Microsoft solutions with Partner solutions, fully leverage the synergy effect with Partner solutions, fully leverage the synergy effect with our partners, and co-sell with them to make deals bigger and faster.
    • 10+ years services sales or account management experience.
    • 5+ years senior technical sales leadership experience in cloud services growth and consumption.
    • 15+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or related field AND 15+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or related field AND 12+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
    • Fluent communication skill in English

  • People Leader

  • Sales Strategy Planning
    • Develops strategies to position Microsoft products, solutions, and/or services (e.g., cloud services and platforms) against competitors.
    • Lay out customer satisfaction long-term strategies, guide team in whitespace analysis, and lead teams to identify and track new opportunities, bring impactful industry insights into customer engagements.
    • Lead team to develop strategies through orchestration for driving and closing opportunities and guide team on communicating with customers to understand their business needs or facilitate customer interactions to assess needs.
  • Sales Management discipline Implementation
    • Plan and participate in regular strategic planning for assigned territory, review plans via ROB meetings, and align plans of team across departments.
    • Ensure team meet sales targets and operational standards and maintain the health of metrics within the assigned territory while mentoring/coaching team on growing knowledge on sales or products.
    • Reviews wins/losses with the team to determine how to identify systematic and non-systematic issues to resolve.

  • Scaling and Collaboration with others
    • Coach team to learn and apply the orchestration model and guide team to build a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell.
    • Lead a virtual cross-organizational team on strategic projects and high impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value.

  • Technical value translation
    • Coach team on business and market knowledge and act as a thought leader to help team connect Microsoft solution to customer business impact.
    • Create “buy-in” vision by proactively building key executive relationships with key decision makers (CIO/CISO/CDO/CTO) to earn BDM
    • Initiates discussions to share industry trends and insights across the whole organization.
    • Leverages deep technology knowledge and coaches team about Microsoft technology differentiators/competitive advantage.
