Overview

As a Data/AI Cloud Solution Architect in the Retail and Consumer Goods (RCG) space, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our customers along their digital transformation. Our Customer Success team works hands-on with the largest RCG customer executives and stakeholders to drive business outcomes leveraging Microsoft solutions. We advise and build proof of concepts, pilots, and production systems using our expertise. Leveraging your Data and AI technical subject matter expertise, you will lead technical conversations with customers and Microsoft colleagues, driving value to their organization.

This role is up to 100% work from home, with occasional travel to customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and proven success leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management and Developers. They also must have experience turning those designs and architectures into solutions through hands on development, driving Data Platform, Advanced Analytics, and AI solutions to production.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

o OR equivalent experience.

  • Business level fluency to read, write and speak Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

o OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 4+ years experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications
  • Business level fluency to read, write and speak Portuguese
  • Extensive experience with data (concepts, architecture, management, security, governance
  • Practical knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures for integrating on-premises workloads with cloud resources
  • Hands on experience building cloud solutions, from POC to Production

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

  • Develops and expands impactful relationships with customer and partner architects, technical specialists, decision makers, and business stakeholders.
  • Guides team members to ensure a seamless and connected customer experience through partner learnings.
  • Identifies, anticipates, and resolves technical blockers to accelerate consumption and solution implementations.
  • Uses knowledge of Microsoft and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities and drive conversations with customers/partners.

  • Understand customers overall data estate, business priorities, and IT success measures.
  • Innovate with Data and AI solutions that drive business value.
  • Ensure Solution Excellence: Deliver solutions with high performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, reusability, and reliability upon deployment. Gather insights from customers and partners.
  • Facilitate scalable delivery through strong technical program management utilizing a factory model/approach; driving program awareness and demand across the regional areas.

Business Impact:

  • Drive Consumption Growth: Develop opportunities to enhance Customer Success and help customers extract value from their Microsoft investments.
  • Unblock Customer Challenges: Leverage subject matter expertise to identify resolutions for customer blockers. Follow best practices and utilize repeatable IP.
  • Build repeatable IP and assets that create velocity in deployment and drives customer value from their investments. Continuously look to improve upon these assets utilizing the best of field inputs.
  • Architect Data and AI Solutions: Apply technical knowledge to design solutions aligned with business and IT needs. Create innovation with Data and AI roadmaps, lead and build POCs and MVPs, and ensure long-term technical viability.

Technical Leadership:

  • Advocate for Customers: Share insights and best practices, collaborate with the Engineering team to address key blockers, and influence product improvements, roadmap and feature prioritization.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on market trends, collaborate with the Data and AI technical communities, and educate customers about the Azure Data and AI platforms.
  • Accelerate Outcomes: Along with field teams, share expertise, contribute to IP creation, and promote reusability to accelerate customer success, as well as collate feedback on assets to drive improvement and leverage field teams inputs.
